Alyson Hannigan admitted that she ‘dreads’ the day her kids are old enough to watch her in American Pie.
The 50-year-old actress revealed that she started watching some of her past movies and TV shows with her daughters Satyana, 15, and Kiev, 12, whom she shares with her husband Alexis Denisof.
Out of all of her past projects, however, she said she is worried about them watching the sex comedy movie series.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, who starred in all four of the American Pie movies, said her kids know how ‘exciting’ the flicks are but have not yet expressed any interest in watching them.
‘Hopefully, I can just ride it out until they’re in college,’ the How I Met Your Mother star — who revealed she lost ‘weight and emotional baggage’ while competing on Dancing with the Stars last season — told Us Weekly in an interview published last Thursday.

When her daughters were even younger, they went through a ‘phase’ and told their actor parents that they wanted to see their past projects, Hannigan told the outlet.
‘When they were in elementary school, there was a phase where they both wanted to see stuff that we’d been in, like Buffy or whatever, and they were still too young,’ she said.
And while she has no plans to show them the raunchy high school comedy until they are older, Hannigan said she is ‘dreading’ the day.
‘That’s the one I dread the most,’ she admitted. ‘Hopefully, I can just ride it out until they’re in college.’
‘They haven’t mentioned that they wanna see it, but they know how exciting it is,’ she said.
‘Taylor [Swift] might’ve piqued their interest, but not that they’ve mentioned,’ she added.
She explained that her daughters are aware that Swift, 34, is referencing their mother’s movie when she sings about ‘watching American Pie with you on a Saturday night’ in her song So High School.
The track, which is from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, is rumored to be about Swift’s romance with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and watching movies with him.

‘Your friends are around, so be quiet, I’m trying to stifle my sighs,’ she sings in the song.
Hannigan jokingly added: ‘I got to be with Taylor and Travis on the dates, really. Just the three of us — I mean, in my head, that’s how it went.’
And back in April, when Swift first released The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th studio album, Hannigan reacted to hearing the American Pie reference.
‘I could barely function yesterday in the very best way,’ she wrote in her responses to fans’ comments.
She wrote in another reply: ‘It’s like I’m basically on their date with them, right?’
