Jojo Siwa has revealed she’s in talks to represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest – but not everyone thinks it’s a good idea.
The singer, 21, took to TikTok on Monday to share with her fans that she was hoping to represent the country in next year’s song competition.
The American reality star, whose father is of Polish descent, said she’s already discussing the move with organisers and might even have a song lined up.
But fans were not overjoyed by the news and took to social media to share their concern that Jojo might even damage Poland’s chances.
In the announcement, Jojo wore a black hoodie and braided her hair as she spoke directly to the camera.

But fans are not overjoyed by the news and have taken to social media to share their concern that Jojo might even damage Poland’s chances in content
She said: ‘Somebody asked if I was going to do it on Eurovision because it was going viral in Poland and then someone was like “are you going to do this on Eurovision” and I initially joking replied to the comments saying: “yes”.
‘But now it’s actually become a real conversation and Eurovision is into it and we’re talking with people in Poland because each country essentially decides who goes to represent that country, and so we have been talking with everyone.
‘And there’s a lot that goes into it, there’s a lot of logistics and one of the big logistics is I have a project I am committed to for when Eurovision is actually happening but I might be able to make both work if Poland wants me to.
‘If Poland wants me to represent them then I will make it happen 1000 per cent.
‘Also on Eurovision you can’t do a song that’s already been heard so I have been thinking and I have come up with an idea of a song I would 100 per cent do and I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I think it would be so frickin’ fun.’
Last year’s competition was won by Nemo with The Code.
The final, which was hosted in Malmo by Sweden, was won by the first openly non-binary act to represent Switzerland and their song explored gender rules and Nemo’s own experiences of gender identity.
While Jojo couldn’t contain her excitement for her latest career move, fans were less than impressed.
Many took to X, formerly Twitter to express their disappointment at the suggestion.
One wrote: ‘Then it’s safe to say Poland already lost’.

Fans took to X to suggest that if Jojo represented Poland they would lose immediately and some even questioned why she was getting involved in the European song contest
Others added: ‘I think Poland has already lost’; ‘i find it hard to believe that anyone asked for any of this lol’.
The star recently flew to Poland to perform and revealed that her song, Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Today, has been trending in the country.
And as her song gets increasingly popular, the Dance Moms star has been leaning in to her Polish roots, sharing a video of her singing her hit Karma in Polish acapella in the car and asking her Polish fans for help on pronunciation.
In an Instagram post on Monday the singer posted a series of snaps of herself in the Eastern European country.
In one photo the star posed with a Polish flag in a quant square wearing a black and orange tank top.
In another snap from the same day, the star pouted at the camera as she walked through a city, showing off her tattoos and ‘Poland’ bracelet before stopping for a photo in an old doorway, smiling in the sun.
She captioned the snap: ‘Thank you Poland for the best day.✨’ in English and Polish.

Since her song Karma’s success in Poland, Jojo has been leaning in to her Polish roots
The American singer and dancer found fame at just nine years old when she first burst onto the dancing scene as a contestant on reality TV show Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.
And 11 years later, JoJo Siwa is said to be worth $20 million after a strong of lucrative deals including a hair care range which featured her signature giant bows and even a podcast.
JoJo – real name Joelle Joanie Siwa – has earned herself a legion of fans and become a household name in the past decade thanks to her various TV roles after joining the Nickelodeon family in 2017 and signing an ‘overall talent deal’ with the network – who also helped her launch product deals.
In 2019, the teenager made a brief appearance in an episode of the hugely popular reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians where she hung out with Kim Kardashian and her oldest child, North West, who was six years old at the time.
The following year, she competed in The Masked Singer as T-Rex, appeared on Celebrity Watch Party, and then took part in the 2021 series of Dancing With The Stars, where she was placed runner-up as part of the first same-sex dancing partnership in the show’s history performing with Jenna Johnson.
In 2022, JoJo joined the 17th season of So You Think You Can Dance as a judge and she also appeared on Simon Cowell’s talent show America’s Got Talent with her girl group XOMG Pop! who were eliminated in the semi-finals.
JoJo has kicked off 2024 by focusing more on her own singing career, launching her first album Guilty Pleasure which featured the singles Karma, Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Today and the title track, Guilty Pleasure.

This is not the first time fans have been outraged by Jojo’s performances.
In June, the singer was booed at New York City Pride.
In reaction to the hostile crowds she shouted: ‘Who the living f*** just booed me? Where the f*** did that come from? Which one of you? Which one of you?
‘Respectfully, f*** you!’
The two-time Children’s & Family Emmy nominee – who also dramatically swigged from a bottle of whiskey – claimed that ‘every day’ she wakes up to people online telling her to go to prison.
‘People tell me that I’m a man. People say I need to stop shaking when I’m dancing, and I say, “F*** you.” People ask me if I’ve learned nothing. And I say, “Of course not,”‘ JoJo added.
‘But now, the thing is, no one knew how to deal with the a**holes of the world better than I did when I was 12 years old.’
