Samantha Jade has revealed the reason she repeatedly refused to appear on Dancing With The Stars – before finally changing her mind.
The singer, 37, told Yahoo Lifestyle she had declined the offer to star on the dancing show ‘multiple times’ because she was ‘scared’.
‘I think they asked me last November and I was kind of like, “Oh, I’m not sure” again and then took ages to say yes,’ she admitted.
‘And my manager was like, “What is it? What are you scared of? What is the thing?”. I think I was like, “Oh no, I won’t be good at it, it’ll be too hard”.’
‘[I was] putting it in that basket of the “too hard” thing. And then I was like, why am I doing that? Like, how fun to learn a new skill as well?’
Samantha said she finally agreed to do something outside of her comfort zone and joined the show.
The singer is currently starring on the dancing show alongside Lisa McCune, Nikki Osborne and Hayden Quinn.
Shane Crawford, Nova Peris and Adam Dovile are also appearing on the series.

Lisa has been one of the favourites from the first week as she has a history of impressing judges Sharna Burgess, Craig Revel Horwood, Helen Richey and Mark Wilson.
Following her role as Maggie Boyle in the popular 90s series Blue Heelers, Lisa went on to to perform in musicals including Cabaret, The Sound of Music and South Pacific.
Should she win the title, she will be joining the likes of actor Luke Jacobz, Human Nature singer Paul Burton and comedian Celia Pacquola.
